Samsung Ram Laptop Memory Upgrade Notebook RAM Types & Prices
To install your laptop memory you will need:
  • Compatible Laptop SODIMM memory module/s.
  • Anti-Static Wrist-strap (if available).
  • A Screwdriver suitable for your laptop’s memory cover.
Installing a SODIMM in your Laptop:
STEP 1: Disconnect the power cable, remove battery and ensure the laptop is off! The memory section of your laptop can be found on the bottom of the machine. Using a suitable screwdriver, undo the holding screw and gently remove the cover. Some covers have small lugs that help hold the cover in place. See your laptop’s manual if you can’t locate it.
STEP 2: Remove the memory you are replacing .If you have an open SODIMM slot, skip this step, if all of your SODIMM slots are full, you will need to remove one or more of your old modules before you can install the new memory.
  • Press down on the retaining clips on either side of the module.
  • Remove the module from the slot.
  • Do not use any tools in the removal or installation of memory modules.
STEP 3: Installing the Laptop Memory (RAM) If all of your SODIMM slots are full, you will need to remove one or more of your old modules before you can install the new memory.
  • Press down on the retaining clips on either side of the module.
  • Remove the module from the slot.
  • Do not use any tools in the removal or installation of memory modules.
Once the memory module is in its final position, the ejector clips should lock onto it and hold it in place.
STEP 4: Install your new module. Take your module out of its anti-static bag and hold it by the edges. If you have more than one open slot, fill the lowest numbered slot first.
  • Line up the notches in the row of metal pins at the bottom of your module with the keys in the SODIMM slot on your motherboard. (If the notches don’t line up right away, flip your module around and try it the other way. It doesn’t matter which side of your module has the black chips or the stickers on it. The important thing is to line up the notches.)
  • Align the notch of the memory module with that of the memory slot and gently insert the module into the slot at a 45-degree angle.
STEP 5: After installing the memory into the computer, before you close your case, turn your computer back on. When the computer is powered back up, it may be necessary to go into the computer BIOS to let the system properly detect the new RAM that has been installed in the computer. You should see the new amount of memory displayed on your startup screens or in the properties for “My Computer“.
STEP 6: If you face any problem in with your new RAM, check some loose points by following these things.
  • Check the power cords. Is everything plugged in properly?
  • Check the module. Did both side clips snap to hold the module firmly in place? Try removing the module and replacing it to make sure it is seated properly in the slot.
  • Check the wires and cables inside your computer. Did you accidentally bump one of the cables inside your computer while you were installing your module? A loose hard drive cable can prevent your computer from booting up properly. Make sure all the cables are firmly in their sockets.

How to Speed Up, Clean Up, and Revive Your iPhone

http://img.gawkerassets.com/img/17hxuvfm3lncwjpg/original.jpgWith the sun shining and bees buzzing in celebration of spring you've likely started decluttering your closets and basements. If you need a break from all that indoor work, it might be time to step away and do the same for your iPhone. Here are some easy tips to give your trusted iPhone a spring cleaning of its own.

Reclaim Hard Drive Space

How to Speed Up, Clean Up, and Revive Your iPhoneGenerally, cleaning up your iPhone (or iPod Touch, or iPad) is a pretty straight-forward process where you check and tinker with your hard drive consumption. We haven't seen a hard statistic for how much space it's good to keep free on your iPhone, but as a general rule, it's good to leave at least 500 MB-1GB of free space when you can. This frees up enough room for apps to store data so you don't have to worry about crashes.
If you're running short on data storage on your iPhone, it's time to clean up and take a look at which apps are taking up the most space and why. On your phone, tap Settings > General > Usage. Here you'll find a list of your apps and how much space they're taking up.
In the screenshot on the right you can see that the Camera+ app is taking up 273 MB of storage. Why? It has its own built-in camera roll. This means the app is storing a second set of photos on top of the default photo app. Tap through each of your apps that are taking up a lot of space and you'll likely find a few more offending apps. Twitter, for instance, is a 13.5 MB app, but somehow manages to take up 383 MB of documents and data.
The solution? For apps like cameras you can go into the app itself and delete all the extra pictures. However, for Twitter your only option is to delete and reinstall the app. Once you do, the usage will drop to around 10 MB and start climbing up again over time.

Overhaul the Settings on Your iPhone

How to Speed Up, Clean Up, and Revive Your iPhoneIf your iPhone is struggling with battery life the easiest fixes are available in your Settings menu. We've gone through a the biggest offenders on your iPhone's battery life before and disabling the following settings can increase your battery life significantly:
  • Push notifications for email (Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars).
  • Push notifications for apps (Settings > Notifications).
  • Location Services (Settings > Location Services).
  • Disable Ping (Settings > General >Restrictions > Ping).
You can enable and disable most of the above settings on a per-app basis, so if you like having one or two apps sending you notifications you can keep them, but you don't need notifications for everything.

Overhaul Your Settings in iTunes

It's a good idea to take a look back at your iTunes syncing settings when you're cleaning up your phone. This is especially the case if you've started using alternatives to the default apps. For instance, if you've picked up our favorite podcast manager for iPhone, Downcast, you don't need to continue syncing the podcasts you download in iTunes at the same time.
The same goes for calendars, email, contacts, and the rest of the default apps. Uncheck any boxes that don't apply to you to help speed up the syncing process. For instance, if you don't use the default calendar you have no reason to sync it every time you plug in your phone. The same goes for Safari bookmarks, contacts, and mail.

Uninstall Unnecessary Apps

How to Speed Up, Clean Up, and Revive Your iPhoneA lot of iPhone users are a bit addicted to apps. We've gone over a few ways to clean up your app usage by creating a most used page and a second holding bin page to test new apps. If you're the type to download and try tons of apps on a daily basis it's probably necessary to clean up your home screen and take a close look at all the apps you didn't end up liking. Delete them and free up hard drive space and declutter your home screen in one simple step.

Remove and Clean Your Case (If You Use One)

We've shown you how to clean and disinfect your gadgets before and if you're busy optimizing the insides of your iPhone, you might as well clean up the outside too. This is especially important if you use a case because over time dust and dirt get trapped in-between the case and iPhone. The dust can end up scratching the back of your iPhone if you're not careful. If you have a rubber case you can clean it with a solution of water and Windex.

In general iPhones don't need a lot of maintenance, but hard drives fill up quickly and that's the biggest cause of problems further down the line. As always, when you're cleaning everything above don't forget that a good old hard reset (hold home button and power button until it restarts) can do wonders for your iPhone's speed. Have any spring cleaning tips we left out? Share them with us in the comments.

New Trojans Use Old Tricks to Infiltrate Macs

http://img.gawkerassets.com/img/17i03sqpug2spjpg/original.jpgThe adage that Apples don't get viruses might soon prove to be false. Security analysts have identified a pair of Trojans aboard the computers of multiple Pro-Tibetan NGOs that appear to infiltrate Macs using the same exploit that's worked on Windows systems for years.
Security analysts at Alien Vault have identified a pair of Trojans that infiltrates computer systems by posing as innocuous Word documents and activating if opened. Once on the system the Trojans send the infected system's computer, user, and domain name to a remote server, establishing backdoor access for the attacker. "The purpose here clearly is information stealing," said Alexis Dorais-Joncas, Security Intelligence Team Leader at ESET.
As Apple products gain wider and wider acceptance among both consumers and governments, the rewards for exploiting them increase proportionately. "What [attackers] have been installing via APT-style, targeted attack campaigns for Windows, they're now starting to do for Macs, too," said Ivan Macalintal, a security researcher at Trend Micro. This is especially true in the case of the Tibentan NGOs.
The C&C portion of the Trojans appears to communicate with a server somewhere in China, which would indicate that the infection was both politically motivated and specifically designed to attack OSx-centric organizations. "While APT-for-Mac isn't exactly new, it does seem like the attackers are catching on that many of these organizations use Macs more than the general public," Seth Hardy, a Senior Security Analyst for Citizen wrote to Ars Technica. "It's also interesting that the attackers are developing multi-platform attacks: we've seen the Mac malware bundled with similar Windows malware, and the delivery system will identify the user's operating system and run the appropriate program." Alejandro Cartagena Made The Sony World Photography Shortlist With Carpooling Snapshots

carpooling
The professional photographer Alejandro Cartagena submitted a series of bitter-sweet photographs representing people who commute using carpooling. The pictures could look funny at a first glance when the viewer sees the commuters taking a nap before work crammed in awkward positions in the back of trucks.

Alejandro Cartagena manages to take a bird eye’s view snapshots in the area next to Monterrey, Mexico. Most of his subjects are teenagers who are lying in the back of trucks, sharing space with various things. Some of them throw interested glances to the photographer’s camera and consequently to the viewer but most of them are napping crammed between wheelbarrows, planks of wood, buckets, tools, ropes and wires.
The photographer didn’t gave many details about the “Car Pool” series and presented powerful images instead, full of details that could give us a glimpse into the life of Mexican commuters. Moving away from the goofy looking guys, the images depict the almost dehumanizing way of travel that, as the viewer can easily imagine, could extend way after the commuters go off the trucks and go about their daily lives. However, the photographer is reluctant in explaining the social aspect of his photographs. The reality he sees through lenses isn’t good or bad, it’s mixed and only the viewer can choose an interpretation.

The same is applicable for every blogger. The effort he put is to gain visits from various source. I always enjoyed listening to a blogger saying, his effort is little (according to him) and his visitors and guest bloggers made him to reach the level he wants. He then started calling his blog as a community. Let me mention his name at the last. If anyone wants to guess his name, just guess without scrolling the page. This is what blogging taught me in personal. Need patience to meet the goal.
Criticism
Cricketers are closely watched by millions and billions of people. One mistake they do, whole world easily points it out. People enjoys when a star performs well in the field. The reverse will also happen many a time. Bloggers needother criticise us. When they start finding out the fault, we will start realising from all the mistakes and it will be an opportunity for us to improve from our mistakes.
Make Money

When a player shines in the field, he will be getting advertisement opportunities, like wise when a blog becomes famous, huge traffic from various source, comments, good PR and Alexa rank. When you start getting all these things, automatically money will start flowing from various sources like AdSense, Ad Banners, Paid review etc. Cricketers earn a lot of money only when they play good cricket, when they are out of their form, they don’t get anything and someone will be replaced. This is also applicable for bloggers.
Mutual Relationship
T20 started inducing entertainment in everyone. IPL, EPL, Champions League T20. In IPL, cricketers from various nations, they form into a team and start playing together. They are mutually benefited, exchanging the pros and cons among themselves, building new records, better understanding & thus gives better result. Bloggers can also be mutually benefited by exchanging links, guest blogging & by helping each other. By doing guest blogging not only you are benefited by getting back links but also when you start writing some good articles on other blogs, you could easily get the attention of others, so that it may give you a greater result.
Finding Strategy
When you start finding an elaborate and systematic plan of action, you will start smelling what success is, the presence of mind and game plan are very important for every cricketer. Even for a blogger, they both play a major role. When bloggers have a detailed plan and when they start executing it in a proper way, every blogger will start smelling and feeling what success is, even they can define the meaning of success the way they want. Few tactics and techniques also give success for a blogger and also for a cricketer.
Be an ALL ROUNDER
The one who performs well with the bat and the ball said to be an all-rounder. He should be consistent. Need to score runs with the bat and to restrict runs from his rivals bat. There are no rivals in the world of blogging. Every blogger should be consistent in posting an article. He has every little thing to do inside and outside his blog. Writing alone is not blogging. There are lot more things to do outside his blog. Commenting, Link building, Promoting, Marketing. Every blogger should be an all-rounder. Each and every of your good action will reflect you in every other way.
